So, today is Steve's birthday. Of course, we went to Wal-Mart to get ingredients for his ice cream cake and to pick up birthday cards.
Patience wouldn't be satisfied with one card from all of the kids. She had to pick out her own. Does she go for a "little kid to a dad" card? Oh no, the front of the card is dark green and says "for my father with love and thanks". *cracking up*
But this is the funny part. She opens the card to read it.
Thank you for being there
right from the start...
For giving your ________
And she stops. "Mom, I need help, I can't read this word." So I look at the word. "Honey, you can read this word--look at it." "No, I can't read it....paa, pat....I can't."
I am rolling with laughter now. "Patience," I say, "the word is PATIENCE!!" She couldn't read it in a sentence--I don't know if it's because it wasn't capitalized or what, but I was just dying laughing! She laughed, too, when she realized it.
At least she spelled her name right when she signed the card!
