Busy days...

The madness is upon us.  For the last few days (and for the next two weeks) we've been booked solid.  We haven't been this busy in a while.  Last Thursday I got to go out to dinner with my fellow PC directors.  So much fun.    We went to Dave and Buster's at the Providence Place Mall.  Seven of us, and without consulting each other, we all ordered the same entree!   Great minds... (for those with inquiring minds, it was a parmesan encrusted chicken breast, with a choice of pasta with marinara or fettucini alfredo--mmmm...).

On Friday, I had a Sunday School meeting.  It was also the night of the harvest moon (first full moon after the autumnal equinox), and I wanted to take the kids out to see it.  Total. cloud. cover.  I couldn't even see the moon.  Oh well, we ended up going out the next night to gaze at the sky. (But its just not the same!)

Saturday, I had to work, so Pep (my dad) came over to babysit.  No sitting around doing nothing for him, thank you very much!  He took the kids to the annual Scituate Arts Festival, where they were treated to cotton candy, candy apples, new toys...  Once I was home, we went for dinner--I was too tired (and late!) to cook.

Sunday was church, and Steve and I had nursery duty.  Ten kids--and a two screamers among them.  We ended up calling for reinforcements.  I only have two arms!  Once church had ended, I ran home to pack us a picnic lunch (Why didn't I pack it before church, you ask?  Because it was a crazy morning with Steve having to clear out our bathroom drain before anyone could shower.).  We then had lunch with out friends, and caravanned to an apple orchard!  We had a gorgeous day!

There is nothing like a gorgeous fall New England day!

The kids are still a bit under the weather.  No fevers, but everyone has a cough now.  They're all on cough medicine and decongestant.  Because tomorrow is....(drumroll, please! )

ELI's 10TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!

We'll be going bowling with 7 of his friends.  I have to make his birthday cake today (can you tell how motivated I am??), and then I have a meeting here tonight.  And in the next two weeks we have 6 homeschooling outings, 6 nights of work and 3 doctors' appointments.  I'm tired just thinking about it!
