Oh, you didn't think I meant schoolwork, did you?? LOL
This morning I was up at 6am--I did 2 hours of paperwork for my Pampered Chef business.
My friend Kathy came over at 8:30am. She took me to the mechanics to pick up my car (whole 'nuther story!), and then we hit Toys R Us for some 20% off Friends & Family shopping! Eli is the toughest to buy for this Christmas, having just had his birthday (he got a ton of stuff). I bought him a Narnia Stratego game and a kit with binoculars, walkie-talkies and a watch. I bought the family a Quiddler game.
The girls were a lot easier. Maddie is getting a birthday month flower My Little Pony, an Ariel Barbie doll, a Holly Hobbie doll and some pink girly Legos. Patience is also getting a My Little Pony, a ballerina Barbie, a different Holly Hobbie doll and a house-building Lego kit.
I'm trying not to buy into this "gotta buy them toys" thing, but I couldn't resist 20% off! There are a few more things I may get, but not much more.
Christmas cards!! I told you I'd be sending them out, and today I ordered them! I'm so impressed-- www.walgreens.com ...they had 140 cards ready in less than an hour! I also ordered 3 photo calendars; one for my parents, one for Steve's dad and one for Steve's mom. We do this every year.
So, I spent a boatload of money, but quite a bit of our Christmas shopping is DONE!
Hi Amanda-you did have a productive day! I haven't done any shopping yet. We're on a small Christmas budget this year, though. Trying to catch up and pay off some debt within a time frame.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to get each kid one thing they really want and some stocking stuffers.
Are you still really busy with your Pampered Chef business?
