Black Friday

I did it--I went shopping.  Nothing crazy...I woke up at 7:30, and was out the door by 7:50.

First stop was Bernie's, an appliance store.  I was looking for a CD/Clock Radio for Steve's niece, but couldn't find them. 

  

Next stop, Target.  Here I found some deals.  I got my nephews little bath sets (Curious George for Luke, Spiderman for Isaac), all 4 Harry Potter movies for $3.98 each (they're for me, not the kids--they aren't allowed to watch them!), found the CD/Clock radios--got one for Becky, one for us (let's hope Steve can figure this one out--alarm clocks are the bane of his existence!).  I grabbed a Diet Coke and headed for Kohl's! 

  

Is it bad to go shopping after Thanksgiving, and get just stuff for your family?  I barely got any Christmas gifts, but Steve & I both needed some new clothes.  I got Steve a pair of jeans and a nice sweater.  I bought two pairs of pants, a sweater, a turtleneck, two pairs of socks and a pair of brown shoes (normally $45, got them for $18!).  After standing in line for an HOUR, I checked out. 

  

Last stop was the post office, where I mailed 108 Christmas cards.  

  

It is absolutely gorgeous out here today!  Sunshine, probably 65 degrees--just beautiful.  I think I'll take the kids for a walk--I have to work off yesterday's meals!
