How has it been two weeks since the last time I blogged? Crazy. Life has been busy here. Some good busy (lots of Pampered Chef business) and some not-so-good busy (school? I'm supposed to be educating my kids??).
Abigail's birthday has come and gone. My poor friends. I was a wreck at church, and we had a potluck dinner for Pastor Appreciation. I spent the whole time crying or trying not to cry. The good thing is that a couple of years ago, I wasn't good enough friends with these ladies to stick around during a time like that. And this year I felt comfortable enough with them to let them see what I was going through. So that's good.
Election Day was this week. I dutifully brought my kids with me; Patience fell down in the parking lot and gashed her knee. SIGH. I also met one of the ladies that was elected to the school committee. She is a Democrat, but said she is very supportive of homeschooling. I told her that I was keeping her name & number, and that if I had any problem with the school system, I was calling HER. LOL
This week, we visited a planetarium. Very interesting. My neck hurts from looking up. The kids had a good time. It was pouring rain that day. Daddy was with us, so we went out for lunch and ran a few errands.
Yesterday was the girls' Home Ec class--they made stamped gift tags. Very cute. Eli got to run around outside. We're having a bit of Indian Summer--gorgeous weather in the mid-60's, sunshine...just glorious.
Two weeks ago we went to see IMAX: Lewis and Clark--so interesting! The kids loved it. Eli asked if the story was "real". I was like, um, YEAH, it's Lewis and Clark! So he explained that what he meant was, did everything happen exactly like they showed? I had to explain that the men kept journals, and the movie was based on those. Whew--for a minute there I thought he hadn't know that Lewis and Clark were real!
My sister is in Texas now! She and her family moved last week from Toronto. I'm glad she's there safe & soud.
And that's about it. I'm trying to stay on top of the housework (sometimes you could play "king of the mountain" with the laundry!) and get some schooling done. I still have seven more PC shows this month. Plus Thanksgiving. All I have to do is seal my Christmas cards, and they're ready to be mailed out. I'm almost done Christmas shopping, too. Also exhausted...did I mention exhausted?
I don't see anything written on your blog. Is it just me or is there something funky? :-D

no idea how this happened....this is what I get for being in a rush--anyway, hopefully you can read it now!

Holy Canollis, Amanda-you are a whirlwind of activity! I imagine you ARE exhausted! LOL (like you mentioned twice at the end there) I don't know how you do it all.
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds great, though! We saw that Lewis & Clark movie, too and loved it.
I guess now that your sister has moved to Texas, there's no chance of seeing you again on your way to visit her! What was she thinking?? LOL
Have a wonderful week. Holly
I'm impressed! About the Christmas cards that is! However, i am afraid your laundry mountain could not possibly impress me. I have used climbing gear to get to the top of mine once! (or maybe twice...)
