Boston Museum of Science

I opened the monthly homeschool newsletter on 2/1, and saw, to my delight, that a friend had scheduled a trip to the Boston Museum of Science.  And, bonus, the Harry Potter Experience exhibit was there! We're big Harry Potter fans here, so just that exhibit alone was going to be worth the $10 admission fee!

After the car trouble we had before Patience's birthday (and after Patience's birthday, but that's another post), Steve didn't want me driving to Boston, and we car-pooled with my friend, Loni.  It was so nice to have an hour drive to chat & catch up with her, and the kids spend the entire ride giggling and telling jokes.

Patience being silly in one of the exhibits

This is a machine that shows probability, but it just looks like a giant Plinko game to me.

In front of a giant chess piece, ala Wizarding Chess, from Harry Potter (no pictures could be taken in the exhibit)

Okay, so maybe Eli's feet aren't *that* big!

The HP exhibit was amazing--so many props and costumes.  So cool.  We spent about an hour and a half in the exhibit and the....wait for it...GIFT SHOP.  We were happy as pigs in slop. LOL  It was an absolute blast, and we've just started reading the 6th book. :)

We hadn't been on a field trip in quite a while, so this was a great day!
