I posted last month about the tragic death of my friends' 5 year old son. They're coming up on the 2 month mark since that happened--I'd so appreciate it if you could keep them in your prayers.
About a month ago, they traveled to RI to hold a memorial service for Christian. It was a lovely service. My dad & I were honored to be part of it, singing a couple of songs together.
It was a huge blessing to be able to spend time with them while they were up north. Emma, who has since turned 1, was so much fun to be around.
All of the kids enjoyed having a baby around, and while I didn't get a lot of pictures of it, Eli loved wrestling with Micah & James.
I love Emma's look here--not quite sure what to
think of me. I was her favorite, as long as I was making popping noises with my finger in my mouth. :) The things we'll do to amuse little ones!
We were able to have Susanna and the
kids over for lunch one day, join them at my parents for lunch another day, and even have a girls' night out. I'm so, so glad I got to spend time with my dear friend.
There's a smile! Cruising around the floor--just about ready to get up and RUN. :)
James is 3 and flirted shamelessly with just about every woman he encountered--starting with smacking my backside at the memorial service. :) (I'm not going to lie, I didn't mind the attention! LOL) He kept pretending to be asleep when I wanted to talk to him.
Emma will be weaned soon, but refuses to use a bottle. She had no such compunctions, however, about drinking from my water bottle!
Here's a picture of me & Susanna. We met up with a couple other friends at Panera. It was a really nice time of laughing, some crying, joking, hugging...I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with her.
