Vacation recap--Day 2

Day 2 of our FL vacation started off with checking into our Fort Wilderness cabin. SO CUTE. I highly recommend staying there.  More than enough room for the 5 of us, and in such a nice rural setting. It really felt like we were camping (without the tents, of course), and it was so nice to have our own space instead of another family on the other side of the wall.

This fellow greeted us in our bathroom.  Adorable.

Patience, checking out the digs.

The living room & dining area.

Maddie & Steve in the kitchen.  It was fantastic having a kitchen to work with (although the kitchen tools left a bit to be desired). We ran to Wal-Mart and stocked up on breakfast foods and snacks.

Waiting for the bus to take us to Hollywood Studios (waiting for the bus was prime photo taking time, it turned out!).

Hollywood Studios!!! (This was MGM Studios when we were here in 2005.)

It turned out that in the wake of Hurricane Sandy (which was moving up the coast & hitting New Jersey/New York/New England on this day), FL had some unseasonably cold days for the first half of our vacation.  That's why we're wearing the same sweatshirts in almost every picture!! I promise we brought other clothes!

Waiting for our lunch reservations at the Italian restaurant.

Patience didn't want to turn around--the sun was too bright!

Getting ready for the Star Wars ride!

This picture KILLS me every time I look at it.  WHAT is Patience looking at??  She is smiling for all she's worth though. I practically peed my pants laughing when I first looked at this shot. (She insists that it isn't funny, but c'mon! It's hilarious!)

There we go!  Much better.

Waiting for the Indiana Jones stunt show to start.

Get'em, Indy!

We survived the Tower of Terror! (Steve & Maddie opted out of that one.)

Love this pic of me & my baby.

Now THIS is my idea of a Scrabble board.

We finished off the night with a viewing of the Fantasmic light show.  Very cool!

We did a lot of bus riding throughout the week!  Another great chance to get pictures. :)
