This was the newschopper flying overhead during the Great Flood of 2010. It was the morning after we lost power, and helicopters were everywhere, checking out the flooding.
This is the view from the bike path, looking up our road. Note the neighbor's truck, which is almost completely submerged.
The kids and I took a walk on the bike path--it was unreal how far up the water came.

I'm not sure if this picture will convey it properly, but the current was so strong, and the river was so high about flood level, it was sucking trees under.
Looking down to the river, from the bridge. Normally the water is way, way down from where you're standing. You can see in the pic that it's almost up to the actual bridge (there was about 6 feet of clearance).
Our neighbors borrowed a boat from another neighbor so that they could get into their house to collect some belongings.
The entire playground was under water. The city just sent crews out this past week to clean it up.
Later that morning, we walked over to East Street to look at the Natick Bridge. The bridge is still closed as of today, and will need major repairs--probably need to be rebuilt--before it can be used.
