It was a crazy week, and we only got to read on Tuesday. We chose The Raft by Jim LaMarche. The Raft is based on a true story, and is included in Five in a Row's Volume 4.
I love the illustrations in this story! They're just fantastic, and even at their (ahem) advanced ages, my kids loved looking for the different animals in the pictures.
The story shows us the relationship between a boy and his grandmother. It reminds me a bit of Night of the Moonjellies, that we read last month. We enjoyed both immensely!
