We were watching Spirit, Stallion of the Cimmeron (sp?) this evening. During one scene, Maddie said, "Oh, he (Spirit) misses the lady." So asked her if she meant the mare. That was it. Patience pipes in, "Why does he miss the mayor?" (Go ahead, say mare slowly...you'll get it.) I was rolling.
Patience is in this stage where she "mis-hears" everything. There's a great chapter in a Miss Piggle-Wiggle book about kids who do this. You say "Take out the trash" and they reply, "You have a rash???" and die laughing. It can be VERY annoying, but in the above instance, it was funny!
