The insanity continues / Random thoughts

I've barely had time to breathe, nevermind blog.  Great news, though--we have to have new tires put on the car, so Thursday I will be sans transportation, and I get to stay home.  All day.  You have no idea how excited I am.

First National update:  A payment has been made, and all is straightened out, and that SHOULD be reflected in the next statement I get.  Every part of my body that is capable of being crossed is crossed.  I'm like a twisty, bobcat pretzel (bonus points for the reader who recognizes that movie reference!).

I'm done with 2 of the 3 fleece quilts that I'm making for my completely adorable nephews.

There are only 2 sessions left for our bowling league.  This is good.  Steve's Roto Rooter Christmas party is at a duckpin bowling alley this Saturday--hopefully my children will impress with their mad bowling skillz.

Last night was one of the Pampered Chef meeing/Christmas parties that I had to attend.  Tons of great food, and a really fun gift swap.  I brought a very functional car emergency/first aid kit as my swap gift.

Tonight, though, is my director's Christmas meeting/party, and I brought a fun gift that everyone will want.  Wanna see?

You know you want it.

Update on the Maddie/Awana saga:  Well, she saw one of her friends last week, and that made her think that she might want to give Awana another try.  I told her we'd talk about it.  Of course, she didn't remind me, and I forgot about it, so when she said she wanted to go on Sunday (1/2 hour before we were going to leave--just with Patience; Eli hurt his arm at church on Sunday and wanted to stay home, sigh), I told her "no", because she hadn't studied all week.  Drama ensued.  She finally calmed down, and agreed that she would study this week, attend on the 14th, which happens to be the last week of Awana until after New Year's.  We'll see how it goes.

  4. Krista, excellent job identifying the quote from Two Weeks Notice, starring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. :)
