The Story About Ping by Marjorie Flack tell the story of a beautiful young duck named Ping. He lives on a "wise-eyed" houseboat with his many family members (68 including Ping--we counted today). He tries to avoid some trouble--but avoiding natural consequences can sometimes get you into even more trouble. I don't want to give away the story, but all's well that ends well.
It's been a lot of fun reading these stories to my big kids--they notice a lot more, and we're always cracking jokes. Today's involved comparing Ping to the Aflac duck. :) Ping does seem to almost always have his mouth open, so it seemed appropriate. :)
