Story of the Day 9/29/11

Because we just went on the Blackstone River field trip, I thought that a book that took place on a river would be appropriate.  Today's choice was Higgins Bend Song and Dance.

This is also a Five in a Row selection--one that I've owned for quite a few years, but we had never read.  It was delightful!  A really fun story, with several laugh-out-loud moments.  It was a nice momentary reprieve to sit down and read this near the end of what has been a stressful week.
